FIRST Tech Challenge is a half year long competitive robotics club at Beach Middle School. FTC is where Young Engineers in 6th-8th grades engage in head to head competition on a 12’ x 12’ field with other teams. They must design, build, and program their robots to achieve the tasks set forth by the challenge revealed at the start of the season. They are expected to not only build a robot, but document their design process and community outreach as part of their competitive strategy to be presented at the competitions.

FTC teams meet Monday & Wednesday 6-8 and Saturday 10-2 from September through December.

Year round activities are available for this level of Young Engineers that keep minds active and learning in the off-season and engaged in the community.

Jared’s Fund:

It’s the belief of Chelsea Robotics that “Robotics is for Everyone” and to help make that possible we have the Jared’s Fund. Established in honor of Jared Franklin, a beloved former member of the High School FRC Team, the fund is available to any family who needs assistance and will pay the full registration cost for a student. We also ask families who can to please make a donation to the Jared’s Fund to help maintain this wonderful resource. Jared's Fund contribution can be found on the registration page.
